Levantine Cuisine
  Is the traditional cuisine of the Syrian Ottoman Empire.
The name itself, comes from the French word levant meaning ‘rising’ , referring to the sun and the direction in which it rises, the east. It includes the eastern Mediterranean and the countries in its borders (Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq). The eastern border used to represent the limits of the known world.
 

One of the staples of this cuisine is the different Mezze and finger food. including, olives, Hummus, BabaGhanuj, tahini, tabouli, Arab salad & many more rich in flavor and color foods.

Even though this cuisine is not vegetarian, the meals are mainly composed of fresh & pickled vegetables as well as pastries. The meat is merely an Entree in a sea of Mezze. Bon Appetite!
